1938 -- Pyongyang'dak Sungshil Lisesi, öğrencilerin Japon tapınaklarında ibadet etme zorunluluğunu reddetmelerinin ardından kapatıldı. Japon makamları bu durumu kültürel sömürgeleştirme çabaları kapsamında gereksinim olarak tanıttı.

Residents on South Korean border islands evacuate the border area with no casualties reported.
