Biyografi

Shin Kyung-sook 1963 yilinda Jeolla Province yakinlarindaki bir köyde dogdu. Alti kardesten en büyük kiz oydu. Anne ve babasi çiftçi oldugu için onu liseye göndermeyi göze alamazlardi. Bu yüzden 16 yasindayken agabeyinin yasadigi Seoul'e tasindi. Ilk edebi eseri "Winter's Fable" adli kisa hikayedir. Kyung sook, 1985'te Seoul Institute of the Arts'dan yaratici bir yazar olarak mezun oldu. Sonrasinda "Where the Harmonium Once Stood" ile neslin yeni sesi olarak ortaya çikti, 1993'te öyküleri zarif bir lirizm ve psikolojik derinlik kazandi.
"Winter Fables" ile Munye Joongang yeni yazar ödülünü aldi. Onun eserleri; "Where the Organ Lays", "Deep Sorrow", "A Lone Room" ve digerleri Kore Edebiyati'nin önemli parçalari olarak kabul edilmislerdir.[/color]

BIOGRAPHY

Shin Kyung-sook was born in 1963 in a village near in Jeolla Province. She was the oldest daughter of six.Her parents were farmers who could not afford to send her to high school, so at sixteen she moved to Seoul, where her older brother lived.Her literary debut is "Winter�s Fable".She graduated from the Seoul Institute of the Arts as a creative writing in 1985.
After,She emerged as the new voice of her generation with "Where the Harmonium Once Stood".Her stories won an elegant lyricism and psychological depth in 1993.She She won Munye Joongang New Author Prize for "Winter Fables".
Her stories;"Where the Organ Lays", "Deep Sorrow", "A Lone Room" and others have been recognized as vital parts of Korean literature.
