BİYOGRAFİ

Seol-An Jeon 15 yaşında golf oynamaya başladı. Aslen Seoul'lüdür. 2002'nin Mart ayında profesyonel olarak döndü ve hemen Futures Tour'a katıldı. 2 yıl orada oynadı. 2003 yılını 11.likle bitirdi ve top 10 para listesinde 5.liğe yerleşti.
Jeon 2003 LPGA Q-Okulu'nu 11. bitirerek ilk denemesinde LPGA için yeterlilik kazandı.

2004 Jeon için çok iyi bir yıl oldu. O ilk karşılaşmaya top 10'da başladı fakat önemli kısım bir kaç ay sonra Takefuji Classic'te geldi. Orada Cristie Kerr ile Epic Playoff'ta karşılaşmaya girdi ve 7. playoff deliğinde kaybetti. Bu yaklaşık 30 yılın en uzun playoff'u oldu.

Jeon "Yılın Çaylağı" yarışını 3.lükle bitirdi ve yıl sonu para listesinde 41.oldu.

2005 Seol-An için kötü bir sezon oldu ve o yılın sonunda Q-School'a dönmek zorunda kaldı. Neyseki, 2006'da muaf kartını elde etti.

2006'da birara bilinmeyen bir nedenden dolayı Seol-An ingilizce adının çevirisini Seo-Yeon Jeon olarak değiştirdi.

Capsule Bio

Seol-An Jeon started playing golf at the age of 15; she is originally from Seoul. She turned professional in March of 2002 and promptly joined the Futures Tour. She played there for two years; in 2003, she finished 11th on the money list with five top ten finishes.

Jeon qualified for the LPGA on her first attempt by finishing 11th at 2003 LPGA Q-School.

2004 was a very good year for Jeon. She started the year with a top ten at the first event, but the highlight came a few months later at the Takefuji Classic. There, she engaged Cristie Kerr in an epic playoff, finally losing on the 7th playoff hole. It was the longest playoff in nearly 30 years on tour.

Jeon ended up finishing third in the Rookie of the Year race and 41st on the year end money list.

2005 was a bad season for Seol-An, and she was forced to return to Q-School at the end of the year. Fortunately, she was able to secure her exempt card there for 2006.

For unknown reasons, Seol-An changed her English name translation to Seo-Yeon Jeon sometime in 2006. Unfortunately, 2006 was not a good year for her, due to neck and shoulder injuries that limited her to nine events. In 2007, she only played 9 events, only completed seven, and missed the cut in all of those.

At some point in 2007, she returned to using the name Seol-An Jeon. She had exempt status for 2008, but in that year, she struggled mightily, and lost her status on tour at the end of the year. In 2009, she had KLPGA membership but did not play any events on that tour.
