-Gaya Dönemi-

*Yıl 42: Kral Ijinashi Daegaya'ı kurdu.
*Yıl 562: Kral Jinheung 23'üncü yılında Shilla birleştirilerek Daegaya-gun olarak adlandırıldı.

-Birleşik Shilla Dönemi-

*Yıl 757: Kral Gyeongdeok 16. yılında Goryeong-gun olarak yeniden adlandırdı.

-Goryeo Dönemi-

*Yıl 1018: Kral Hyeonjong 9. yılında Goryeong-gun Yeongcheon'a bağlandı.
*Yıl 1175: Kral Myeongjong 5. yılında yerel yetkililer oluşturdu.

-Joseon Dönemi-

*Yıl 1413: Kral Taejong'un 13. yılında ilçe yetkilileri düzenlendi.
*Yıl 1895: Kral Gojong'un 32 yılda yerel yönetim organizasyonunu Goryeong-gun'u Goryeong ilçesine dönüştürdü.
*Yıl 1906: Seongju-gun'da 9 patlama, Hyeongpung-gun'da 6 patlama absorbe edildi, 10 yılda toplam 26 patlama gerçekleşti.

*Yıl 1914: İlçe ve Myeon düzenlenmesi yapıldı, 9 Myeon oluşturuldu.

*Yıl 1930: Ssangdong-Myeon ve Imcheon-Myeon birleşerek Ssangnim-Myeon oldu ve toplam 8 Myeon oluştu.

*Yıl 1979: Goryeong-Myeon eup durumuna geldi, 1 eup ve 7 Myeon olmuş oldu.

Goryeong County (Goryeong-gun) is a county in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.
Goryeong is a historical center of the ancient kingdom of Daegaya.

History

-Gaya Period-

*Year 42: King Ijinashi found Daegaya
*Year 562: Merged into Shilla in the 23rd year of King Jinheung and remained as Daegaya-gun

-Unified Silla Period-

*Year 757: Rename as Goryeong-gun in the 16th year of King Gyeongdeok.

-Goryeo Period-

*Year 1018: Goyang-gun was remained as Yeongcheon county at the 9th year of King Hyeonjong.
*Year 1175: Created local officials in the 5th year of King Myeongjong.

-Joseon Period-

*Year 1413: Created county officials in the 13th year of King Taejong.
*Year 1895: After revising the local government organization in the 32 year of King Gojong, remained Goryeong county as Goryeong-gun.
*Year 1906: Absorbed 9 bangs of Seongju-gun and 3 bangs of Hyeongpung-gun in the 10th year of Gojong Gwangmy so it became 26 bangs.

*Year 1914: Due to the rearrangement of gun and Myeon, there's 9 Myeon.

*Year 1930: Ssangdong-Myeon and Imcheon-Myeon merged and became Ssangnim-Myeon so there's only 8 Myeons.

*Year 1979: The status of Goryeong-Myeon became eup, so there are currently 1 eup and 7 Myeons
