Goheung, Jeollanam-do eyaletine bağlı bir ilçedir. Kore yarımadasının en güneyinde bulunan yerlerden biri olan Goheung'in üç tarafi okyanusla 19 mesken ve 152 ıssız adayla çevrilmiştir. Derinliği fazla olmamakla birlikte kiıyı boyunca deniz kabuğu ve deniz yosunu endüstrisi gelişmiştir.

Goheung-gun Bayrağı:

İlçenin bayrağı, yerel jeolojik özelliklerini, karmaşık bir geçmişi, büyüyen ekonomisini, Goheung şehirinin eşsiz kültürünü gururla sembolize eder. Bayram tasarımı ilçenin güney ucunda yer alan Uzay Merkezi tarafından motive edilir. Bayraktaki 'g' Goheung'un refah, ilerici doğasını ve uzay yolculuğunun geleceğin bir parçası olmasını ifade eder. Sonraki üç oval halka insanların Goheung ilçesinde kırsal ortamın, huzurun, doğal güzelliğin uyum içinde yaşaması imajını yansıtır.

Bayrakta bulunan mavi renk, doğayı, çevrenin saflığını ve denizi sembolize eder. Turuncu renk ise ilerici ruhu ve yaşam için geleceği tutku ile kucaklayan Goheung halkını temsil eder.

Ağaç kavunu ağacı:



Ağaç kavunu ağacı, ilçe genelinde bolca yetişir. Özellikle bitkinin bakteriyer yanıklığa ve böceklere karşı dayanıklı olması ile tanınır. Sonbaharın sonlarına doğru kokulu meyvesi ile ünlü Kore çayı 'Yujacha' yapılır.

Kamelya çiçeği:



Bu küçük ağaçlar genellikle kırmızı, mor ya da ilkbahardan itibaren çiçeklerin içine beyaz süslemeleri ile çiçekleri gelişir. Canlılık ve renkli süslemeleriyle yaşama ruhu ve tutku ile hem yerel sakinlere hemde gelen ziyaretçilere ilham kaynağı olmuştur.

Güvercin:



Parlak bir gelecek için umut ve huzur getirirdiğine inanılır. Güvercin, barışın ve Goheung halkının sakin ve huzurlu doğasını yansıtan semboldür.

Naro Uzay Merkezi

Naro Uzay Merkezi, Goheung'un güneyinde 34°43' enlem ve 127°53' boylaminda bulunur ve 2008 döneminde tamamlanmıştır. Devlete bağlı olan Kore Havacılık ve Uzay Araştırma Endtitüsü tarafından işletilmektedir. Uzay merkezinde bir fırlatma rampası, bir kontrol kulesi, roket montaj ve test tesisleri, uydu kontrol test ve montaj yeri, bir medya merkezi, bir elektrik istasyonu, uzay deneyimine olanak sağlayan bir salon (ziyaretçi merkezi) ve bir iniş alanı bulunur.

Goheung County is a county in Jeollanam-do Province, South Korea. Goheung is located in one of the southernmost areas of the Korean peninsula. It is surrounded by ocean on three sides with 19 inhabited islands and 152 uninhabited islands. The depth is not that low and its land spreads along the coast so many shellfish and seaweed industries have developed.

Flag of Goheung-gun:

The flag of our county proudly symbolizes the local geological features, the complex history, the growing economy and the unique culture that is Goheung. The design of our flag is motivated by the Space Center located at the southern tip of the county. The initial “g” expresses Goheung prosperity, progressive nature and pride to be an integral part of the future of space travel. The three ovals reflect the image of a developing Goheung where the natural beauty of the countryside and the serenity of the people exist in harmony.

The blue color shown in the flag symbolizes nature and the purity of our environment and our sea. The orange represents the people of Goheung who embrace the future with a progressive spirit and a passion for life.

Citron tree:



The citron The citron fruit flourishes in abundance across the county and is well known for its resistance to blight and insects. Late autumn welcomes the fragrant ripening of the fruit that is picked and prepared to make the famous Korean tea “yujacha”.

Camellia blossom:



Camellia These small trees with their bright ornamental flowers of red, purple or white decorate the countryside from very early spring into late spring. The vibrancy and colorful decorations inspire local residents and visitors alike with a spirit and passion for life.

Dove:



Dove We envision a bright future and this hope brings peace. The dove is the symbol that inspires this peace and reflects the calm and serene nature of the people of Goheung.

Naro Space Center

The Naro Space Center was completed during 2008 in southern Goheung 34.43°N 127.53°E and is operated by the state-run Korea Aerospace Research Institute. The space center includes a launch pad, a control tower, rocket assembly and test facilities, facilities for satellite control testing and assembly, a media center, an electric power station, a space experience hall (visitor center) and a landing field.
