Gangnam-gu'nun Tarihi

Bugünkü Gangnam-gu, Joseon Dönemi'nde Gyeonggi Eyaleti'ndeki Gwangju-gun ve Gwacheon-gun'un bir parçasıydı. Ancak, 1963 yılında Seoul Büyükşehir Belediyesi'ne dahil olmasından bu yana, Seoul'un anahtarı olmuştur. 1 Ekim 1975 tarihinde Yeongdong şubesi Gangnam-gu Ofisi olarak terfi ettikten sonra çok sayıda düzenleme yapıldı ve 1 Mart 2009'dan itibaren 22 toplum servis merkezi ve 39.55km² alanı yönetti.

Gangnam-gu eşsiz özellikleriyle birlikte gelişmiş bir sokak ağına sahiptir.

Ticaret merkezleri, havaalanı terminali ve ASEM merkezi ile Teheranro çevresinde,
yeni girişimlerde gelişmeler ve gelişmiş ileri ticaret ve finans endüstrileri vardır.
Cheongdam-dong, Apgujeong-dong çevresi moda, sanat, video, animasyon ve dağıtım ile ünlüdür. Samsung-dong ve Nonhyeon-dong sanat galerisi, çömlekçilik ve mobilya sektöründe uzmanlaşmıştır. Aynı zamanda son dönemlerde Poi-dong çevresi yatırım girişimleri ve dengeli gelişmeler ile popülerleşiyor. Gangnam-gu History

The Gangnam-gu today was formerly part of Gwangju-gun and Gwacheon-gun in Gyeonggi Province during the Joseon Period. However, since its incorporation to Seoul Metropolitan Government in 1963, it has been the key of Seoul. After Yeongdong branch Office was promoted as Gangnam-gu Office on October 1, 1975, it went through numerous adjustments and from March 1, 2009, it has governed 22 community service centers and has an area of 39.55km².

District İnformation

Geographically, it is located in the southeast area of Seoul and having Tancheon in the east as the boundary, it boarders with Songpa-gu while facing Seocho-gu from Gangnamdaero in the west, Seongnam-si of Gyeonggi Province from the mountainous area in the south, and Seongdong-gu from the Han River in the north.

Location and Characteristics

Gangnam-gu has especially well-developed street-network with unique characteristics.
Around Teheranro with trade centers, airport terminal, and ASEM center, there are developments in new venture and advanced industries of trade and finance.
The Cheongdam-dong, Apgujeong-dong areas are famous for fashion, arts, video, animation, and distribution. Samsung-dong and Nonhyeon-dong are specialized in art gallery, pottery, and furniture business. Also recently, the area of Poi-dong is getting popular with venture enterprises with balanced developments. Moreover, Gangnam is a district where most of citizens reside in high-class apartment houses and large apartment complexes. It has convenient conditions with balanced formation of large department stores, cultural facilities, and green belts for the daily lives of citizens.

Area

Gangnam-gu area is relevant to 6.53% of Seoul with area of 39.55km². It is formed with 24 administrations (14 courts) and 1,057 public organizations with the total of 6,722 organizations.

The largest competent area out of the 24 dong is Segok-dong which has the area of 6.36km².
