BIGBANG (빅뱅)

YG Entertainment tarafından kurulmuş Güney Koreli erkek müzik grubudur.
Grup beş üyeden oluşuyor.

BIGBANG grubu 28 Ağustos 2006'da *BIGBANG First Single*'larıyla çıkışını yaptı.

BIGBANG çıkış yaptığı ilk günden bu yana Güney Kore ve Uzak Asya ülkelerinde çok sevilen ve dinlenilen bir müzik grubudur. Ayrıca son zamanlarda Amerika'da, Avrupa'da ve ülkemizde de popüleritesi artmıştır.

Grup ilk albümlerinden ''Lie'' (Yalan) şarkılarıyla başarısını resmen kanıtlamış oldu. 2007 senesinde bu şarkılarıyla Kore'nin önemli müzik ödüllerinden biri olan Seoul Müzik Ödüllerinde DBSK, SNSD, WONDER GIRLS ,SS501 gibi isimleri geçerek ''Yılın Sanatçısı'' ve ''Yılın Şarkısı'' ödüllerini kazandı.

BIGBANG grubu bizlerin de çok sevdiği ''Haru Haru'' (Günden Güne) şarkılarıyla 2008 yılında da M-Net Müzik Ödüllerinde ''Yılın Sanatçısı'' ödülünü aldılar.

BIGBANG grubu her çıkardığı çalışmalarıyla sevenleri tarafından başarılı bulunuyor. Eleştirmenler tarafından da övgü alıyor.
BIGBANG ilk çıktığında Hip-Hop grubuymuş gibi gözükse de aslında yaptıkları müzikler R&B tarzındadır.

Grup başarıları ve popüleritesiyle Kore'nin en çok sevilen grubu DBSK ile hep yarıştırılmıştır.

BIGBANG

BIGBANG (Korean: 빅뱅), commonly stylized as BIGBANG, is a South Korean hip-hop boyband. The group first gained recognition when their formation was documented on television, titled the BIGBANG Documentary, from July to August 2006. The show was also aired online on GomTV and on MTV Korea. Initially a six-member group, one member dropped out during the airing of the show before the official debut, leading to their current line-up of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri.

Signed to YG Entertainment, BIGBANG went on to release a string of modestly successful singles and EPs. They broke into the mainstream with the release of the EP Always (2007), which spawned the number-one single "Lies" (Korean: 거짓말). Their follow-up EP Hot Issue and Stand Up cemented their status as one of the reigning hip-hop groups in South Korea. After being crowned "Artist of the Year" from the M.net KM Music Festival and the Seoul Gayo Daesang Award, the group expanded their activities into Japan, releasing several mini-albums and airplay singles. Nonetheless, their materials would not receive proper promotions until the following year with the release of their first physical Japanese single "My Heaven."

By the end of 2009, BIGBANG became the most searched artist in South Korea. They also became the first foreign group in Japan to receive the Japan Cable Broadcasting Award for "Best Newcomer" and the first from Korea to receive the Japan Records honor. In recent years, the members have branched out to do solo activities: Taeyang and G-Dragon released solo materials while T.O.P, Daesung, and Seungri started acting.
