Yun Yea-Ji (Yoon Yae Ji olarak da bilinir.) 30 Kasım 1994 yılı doğumlu Güney Koreli buz patencisidir. 2008’de ülkesinde düzenlenen turnuvada birinci olmuştur.

Yun Yae Ji Güney Kore’nin başkenti Seoul’de doğdu. Kariyerinin henüz başlarındayken buz pateni üzerine yapılan şov programlarına katılmaktaydı, Festa on Ice isimli şov programına Kim Yu Na’nın başını çektiği kadronun içine girmeyi başarmıştı. Yun Yea Ji performansından ötürü, ünlü buz patenci Kim Yu Na’nın ilgisini çekti ve Yu Na ona kendi koreografi David Wilson’u önerdi. Böylelikle David Wilson, Yea-Ji’nin 08-09 sezonundaki programları için onu hazırladı. Bununla birlikte Yun, Kanada’da bulunan Toronto’ya 2008 yılında 2 aylığına gitti ve Kim’in koçu olan Brian Orser ile çalışmalar yaptı.

2007 yılında Güney Kore’de düzenlenen bir yarışmada altın madalya kazanan Yun, uluslar arası yarışmalar için yaşça uygun olmadığından herhangi bir aktiviteye dahil edilmedi. Böylece 07-08 arasında bir faaliyette bulunmamış oldu. 2008’de düzenlenen yarışmayı kazanmasının ardından Triglav Trophy adıyla düzenlenen Slovenya’daki bir yarışmaya gönderildi. Burada kendi branşı içinde acemi düzeyde tur atlamayı başardı.

2008-2009 Sezonu

08-09 Yıldızlar (Gençler) Grand Prixinde, Fransa’da ilk defa sporcu kişiliği ile izleyicinin önüne çıktı. 16. oldu. 2009 yılında yine kendi ülkesinde yapılan yarışmayı 119.10 puanla tamamlamayı başardı. 2009’un baharında yine (sporcu düzeyi ile) Triglav Trophy’ye katıldı ve altıncı olarak tamamladı.

2009-2010 Sezonu

2009-2010 sezonunda iki önemli aktiviteye katılmayı başardı. İlk olarak Belarus’da düzenlenen yarışmada kısa programda 20. olarak kariyerinin en iyi skorunu elde etti. İkinci olarak da Türkiye’de İstanbul’da düzenlenen yarışmaya katıldı.

Yun Yea-Ji (also Yoon Yea-Ji) (born November 30, 1994) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2008 South Korean Junior champion.

Yun Yea-Ji was born in Seoul, South Korea.
Early in her career, Yun has performed in shows in South Korea, including Festa On Ice, which was the show headlined by Kim Yu-Na. Kim recommended Yun to her choreographer, David Wilson, and Wilson choreographed Yun's programs for the 2008-2009 season. Yun also went to Toronto, Canada for two months in the summer of 2008 and trained under Brian Orser, Kim's coach.

She won the 2007 South Korean Novice National Championships. She did not compete internationally on the junior level in the 2007-2008 season because she was not yet age-eligible. After her win at the 2008 South Korean Junior Championships, she was sent to the 2008 Triglav Trophy, where she won the event on the novice level.

2008-2009 Season

She made her Junior Grand Prix debut at the 2008-2009 Junior Grand Prix event in Courcheval, France, the first event of the series. She placed 16th. Yun competed as a senior for the first time at the 2009 South Korean Championships and finished fourth overall with a score of 119.10. In the spring, she competed in the 2009 Triglav Trophy at the Junior level, and finished 6th.

2009-2010 Season

Yun was assigned to two events in the 2009-2010 Junior Grand Prix. At the event in Belarus, she placed 20th and earned personal bests scores in the short program, the free skate and the combined total. Those improved in the second Grand Prix event she competed in, set in Istanbul.

On January 2010, she competed in the 2010 South Korean Figure Skating Championships, where placed 9th overall scoring a total of 91.14 points after having problems with some of her jumps. However, she was selected to compete in the 2010 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, that will be held in March 2010.
