Yeongdeungpo-gu Güney Kore, Seoul'un güneybatısında idari bir ilçedir. Adının kökeni bilinmemesine rağmen ilk iki hece 'yeongdeung' ya da 'ilahi yükseliş' in şaman ayininden geldiği düşünülmektedir. Üçüncü hece 'po' ise bölgenin Han Nehri üzerinde olmasından dolayı suyu temsil eder.

Yeongdeungpo-gu is an administrative district in southwest Seoul, South Korea.
Although the origin of the name is uncertain, the first two syllables are thought to be from "yeongdeung" or "divine ascent", a shamanic rite. The third syllable is "po", representing water, referring to the district's position on the Han River.
