Hakkında:

Yanggu County, Güney Kore'de Gangwon Eyaleti'nin bir ilçesidir. Kore'nin tam merkezinde yer alan ve insan ikamet öncesi kaydı ile tarihi bir şehirdir. Yanggu County'nin kuzey kesimi Kore Savaşı için çok önemlidir çünkü ön safhalarda bulunur. Fakat şimdi bölgenin sınırları tarafsızdır. Demilitarized Zone. Several Korean War battle sites are located in Yanggu County, including Bloody Ridge, Heartbreak Ridge, and Hill 1179 (Daeusan) gibi savaş siteleri bulunmaktadır.

Yanggyu'da sanatsal ruh çok fazladır ve bu yüzden sanat ve kültür şehri olarak da bilinir. Şehrin görünüşünü ele alırsak adeta cennete benzetilir ve orada yaşayanlar bunun kendilerine bahşedilmiş olduğunu düşünürler. Ayrıca Yanggyu insan-doğa uyumu açısından bir numaralı olan şehirdir.

Yanggu-gun'un sembol resmi ilçeyi ve ilçe dışını temsil eder. Bu sembol Yanggu için en önemli görsel iletişim unsuru haline gelmiştir. Sembol; yeşil ovalardan fışkıran mavi su damlasıdır ve ilçenin doğal ortamını, hareketli geleceği olacağını gösterir. Ayrıca Porsuk Ağacı,Bülbül ve Kayısı Çiçeği de sembol olarak sayılır.

In the symbol the blue water drop indicates the natura environment springing up from the green plains. The english for Yanggu it depicts the clean stream and the lively future of Yanggu.
