Pirinç, müthiş bir gövde ve katmandan oluşur; arpa ve buğday ile birlikte dünyanın en önemli ürünleridir. Dünya’daki pirincin %92’si Asya’da üretilir ve çoğu Asyalı insan tarafından satın alınır. Kore, pirinç üreten önemli ülkelerden biridir ve Kore’nin temel besinidir. Oorungi pirinci (gölet salyangozu pirinci), teknik oorungi çiftçileri tarafindan ekilir (Gölet salyangozu pirinci yetişen ve tarım arazisi içinde olan yerlerde ot ve
çimenden kurtulmak için herbisit (bitkileri öldüren ilaç) yerine çevre dostu tarım teknolojisi kullanılmaktadır.)

*İşleme Süreci
1. Baharda bebek gölet salyangozları sıyrılır.
2. Gölet salyangozlarının üremesi hızlıdır. Bu yüzden çimlerde beslenir.
3. Çiftlik kenarında yetişen çimler, gölet salyangozları için tekrar üretime kadar kesilmezler.

*Avantaj
1. Sağlıksız herbisit ve gübre kullanımını azaltır.
2. Kimyasal madde gerektirmez. Böylece hasat sağlıklı ve pirinçler yüksek kaliteli olur.
3. Gölet salyangozlarının toprağın altına girmesiyle hasattan sonra gübre oluşur.
4. Gölet salyangozlarının salgıları nedeniyle kabuğun zeminindeki gözeneklilik artar ve böylece arazi hasattan sonra yumuşak olur.

Rice is produced by ripping off the rice hulls and layers and, together with barley and wheat, it is the world's most important crop. 92% of thw world's rice is produced in Asia and most of them are purchased by Asian people. Korea is one the important countries of producing rice and it si Korea's principle food.

Oorungi rice(pond snail rice) is rice that is cultivated by using oorungi farming technique(eco-friendly farming technique where pond snails are grazed into the farmland instead of the herbicide to get rid of weed and grass).

* Cultivating process
1. Graze baby pond snails in spring.
2. The reproduction of the pond snails is fast and so it feeds on grass.
3. The grass growing at the edge of the farm is left uncut for the pond snails to reproduct.
* Advantage
1. It reduces the usage of unhealthy herbicide and fertilizer.
2. It does not require chemicals and therefore can harvest healthy and high quality rice.
3. The pond snails enter the subterranean becomes the fertilizer after harvest.
4. The rind increases the porosity of the ground and the land becomes soft after harvest because of the secretions of the pond snails.
