The Shrine On Daeseongsan / Daeseongsan’daki Tapınak
Çin Kraliçesi öldü, portresini rüzgâr uçurdu, portre DaeSeongSan’daki bir ağacın dalına takıldı kaldı. Yoldan geçmekte olan adamın atının toynakları zemine saplandı. Adam atından atladı, toynakları zeminden kurtarmak için tüm gücünü harcadı, başarısız oldu. Atıyla uğraşırken portre uçtu adamın önüne kondu. Adam, portreyi aldı, ağacın dalına tekrar astı, saygılarını sundu, atı için dua etti.
Geri geldiğinde atını tekrar kurtarmayı denedi ve bu sefer toynaklar zeminden kolayca çıktı. Gizemli portreyle ilgili dedikodular yayılınca, insanlar dileklerini sunmaya buraya gelmeye başladılar. Daha sonra ise portreyi adına her sene tören düzenledikleri tapınağa yerleştirdiler.

The Shrine On Daeseongsan
An Empress from China died, and her portrait flew away by wind and got stuck on a branch of a tree on DAESEONGSAN. A man was passing by when his horse's hoofs got stuck on the ground. He got off the horse, and tried everything in his power to get them loose, only to fail. While he was struggling with the horse, the portrait flew and settled in front of him. He picked it up, hung it on the branch again, and bowed, praying for his horse.
When he came back, he tried again to get his horse loose, and this time the hoofs came unstuck easily. When the rumor spread about this miraculous portrait, people came to pray for their wishes, and later placed the portrait in a shrine, where they held sacrificial rites every year.
