The First Emperor of the Ching Dynasty / Ching Hanedanlığı’nın İlk İmparatoru
Ching Hanedanlığı’nın ilk imparatoru. Burada Hanseongja adında yüksek bir dağ vardır. AeChingakra, daha sonraları Ching hanedanlığının ilk imparatoru orada doğdu. Doğmunun ardında ilginç bir hikâye vardır.
Dumangang’ın yakınındaki bir köyde, soyadı Yi olan nüfuzlu bir adam evlilik çapına gelmiş kızıyla birlikte yaşardı. Bir gün kızının hamile olduğunu anladı. Bu onun için inanılmaz ve onur kırıcı bir durumdu. Kızının hamileliğini sorguladı, kız dedi ki:
“Gece uyurken tuhaf bir adam zorla odama girer, bana tecavüz eder ve şafaktan önce kaybolur. Birkaç aydır bu devam ediyor. Sana anlatmayı denedim ancak çok utanç vericiydi.”
Adam kızına gelenin nasıl göründüğünü sordu. Kız onun sarı tüylerle kaplı olduğunu ve balık gibi koktuğunu söyledi. Babası kızına o adam gece yeniden geldiğinde elbisesine iplik geçirmesini söyledi. Kız denileni yaptı. Sabahleyin köylüler ipliği takip ettiğinde kendilerini Dumangang’ın karşısındaki dağa yapılmış bir kalede buldular. Baba, köylülere kuyuyu kurutturdu ve tenine saplı iğne, iplikle sarı su bir samurunun uzandığını gördüler. Bir hayvanın kızını hamile bırakmasına kızan baba, onu oracıkta öldürdü ve cesedi olduğu gibi bıraktı.
Ondan sonra, tuhaf görünüşlü adam bir daha görünmedi. Kız ise oğlan doğurdu. Çocuk kendisinin nereden geldiğini sorarsa diye cesedi kayaların arasına sakladı. Bebek büyüdükçe görünüşü sıra dışı hale geldi. Uzun değildi. Tüm bedeni sarı ve kırmızıydı, saçları, gözleri ve teni de dâhil.
Sarımsı bedeninden dolayı ona NuruHachi dendi. Usta bir yüzücü ve dalgıçtı. Suyun altında saatlerce kalabilirdi. Bir gün falcı gelip ondan bir kayayı Doğu Denizi’ne götürüp götüremeyeceğini sordu. Dedi ki:
“Kayada iki boynuz var. Kendi atanı sol tarafa göm böylece ailenden İmparatoru çıkacak. Sağ taraftan ise Kral doğacak. Benim atamı sol tarafa göm.”
Aslında işler başkaydı. Adam, NuruHachi’nin onu kandıracağını sandı ancak öyle olmadı. NuruHachi öyle dürüst bir adamdı ki, denildiği gibi yaptı. Falcı neler olduğunu öğrendiğinde her için çok geçti. Bunun Tanrı’nın kararı olduğuna inandı ve ortadan kayboldu.
NuruHachi 20’li yaşların başlarında evlendi ve 3 oğlu oldu. En küçüğü en akıllısıydı. En küçük oğlu gözlerini daima kapalı tutardı çünkü etrafta olan biten her şeyi gören gözleri insanları korkuturdu. Bu arada, NuruHachi’nin oğullarının yaşadığı yere çok da uzak olmayan HoeRyeong’un yakınındaki kuyuda irice bir yılan yaşardı. Günlerden biri JeongChong adlı bir asker yılana bakmak üzere kuyuya gelip de yılanın büyük bir kılıca dönüştüğünü görene kadar kimse kuyuya yaklaşmaya cesaret edemezdi.
Asker, kılıcı kuyudan çıkardı. Kılıçta CheonJaGeom yani İmparatorun Kılıcı yazıyordu. Etrafta gezinip imparator olacak kadar harika olan kılıcın sahibini aradı ve NuruHachi’nin 3 oğlundan haberdar oldu. 2 oğlanın akıllı olduklarını anladı ancak imparator olabilecek kadar değil. Gözlerini açmayan en küçükle karşılaştığında onu tek başına selamladı. Bunun üzerine gücendi ve ona biraz ders verdi. En küçük gözlerini açıp:
“Bana ders vermeye nasıl cüret edersin? Sen buraya bana kılıcı takdim etmeye geldin. Benden ne istiyorsun?” diyene dek sözlerini zorlukla bitirdi. Gözleri bir kere açıldı mı şimşek gibi parlıyordu. Sesi gök gürültüsü gibiydi.
JeongChong öyle korktu ki, kılıcı ardında bırakıp kaçtı. Daha sonraları küçük kardeş Ching Hanedanlığı’nın ilk imparatoru oldu.

The first Emperor of the Ching Dynasty There is a high mountain named Hanseongja. AeChingakra, later the first Emperor of the Ching Dynasty, was born there. Behind his birth was an interesting story.
In a village near Dumangang, an influential man, whose family name was Yi, lived with his daughter who was old enough to marry. One day he found out that she was pregnant, which was both unbelievable and disgraceful. He interrogated her about her pregnancy, and she said,
"While I sleep during the night, a strange looking man forces himself in my room, rapes me and disappears before dawn. It has been going on for a couple of months now. I tried to tell you about it, but I was too embarrassed."
When he asked her what he looked like, she said that he was covered with hair all over and stank like fish. He told her to stick a needle with thread on his clothes that night when he came. She did as she was told, and the next morning when the villagers followed the thread, they found themselves at a well in a castle which had been built on a mountain across Dumangang. Her father had the villagers drain the well, and there was found an otter lying on its stomach, with the needle still on its skin. He was so enraged by the fact that an animal got her daughter pregnant that he killed it on the spot and left the dead body where it was.
After that, the strange looking man did not show up again, and she gave birth to a baby boy. She hid the dead otter's body between rocks, in case her son ask his whereabouts. As the baby grew up, his appearance was unusual. He was not tall, and he was red and yellow all over his body, including his hair, eyes, and skin.
He was called NuruHachi after his yellowish color. He was an expert swimmer and diver, and he could stay under water for hours. One day a geomancer came and asked him if he could get to the rock way over the East sea. He said,
"There are two horns on the rock. Bury your ancestor on the left horn, and there will come an Emperor from your family. On the right horn will come a king. Bury my ancestor on the left horn."
It was actually the other way around. He told NuruHachi to trick him into burying his ancestor on the right, but it didn't work out that way. NuruHachi was such an honest man that he did exactly as he was told.
When the geomancer found out what happened, it was too late. He decided that it was God's will and disappeared.
NuruHachi got married in his early twenties, and had three bright sons, of whom the youngest was the brightest. His youngest son, with his eyes always closed because his eyes scared people off, knew everything that happened around him. In the meanwhile, there was a big snake in a well near HoeRyeong, which was not far from where NuruHachi's sons were living. Nobody dared to approach the well because of the snake until one day a soldier named JeongChong came to look at the snake, which turned out to be a big sword.
He took it out from the well, and on the sword was written CheonJaGeom, meaning the sword of an Emperor. He wandered around to find the sword the owner, who was great enough to become an Emperor, and heard of NuruHachi's three sons. He found the two sons bright, but not enough to be an Emperor. When he met the youngest, who did not even open his eyes, let alone greet him, he was offended and so gave him a little lecture. Hardly had he finished his lecture before the youngest opened his eyes and said,
"How dare you give me a lecture? You are here to present me with the sword, and what do you want from me?"
His eyes, once open, were burning like a flash of lightening, and his voice were roaring like a thunder. JeongChong was so frightened that he left the sword behind and ran away. Later, the youngest became the first Emperor of the Ching Dynasty.
