Kış Mevsimleri

Ipdong (8 Kasım): Bu gün, kışın başlangıcını temsil eder.

Soseol (23 Kasım): Sular donmaya başlar ve kar yağar.

Daeseol (7 Aralık): Bu sezonda çok fazla kar yağar.

Dongji (22 Aralık): Bu gündönümü günü, en kısa ve en uzun gecedir. Bu tarihte insanlar, hayaletleri yok etmek için kırmızı fasulye ile pirinç püresi yapar.

Sohan (6 Ocak): Tam anlamıyla Sohan 'biraz soğuk' anlamına gelir ancak bu tarih, kışın 'en soğuk' mevsimidir.

Daehan (20 Ocak): 'Büyük soğuk' anlamına gelir. Büyükler, bunun kışın sonu - yılın son sezonu olduğunu düşünürlerdi.

Winter Seasons

Ipdong (Nov. 8th): This day represents the beginning of winter.

Soseol (Nov. 23rd): The water starts to freeze and it snows.

Daeseol (Dec. 7th): This season has lots of snow.

Dongji (Dec. 22nd): This solstice day has the shortest day and the longest night. At this time, people make rice gruel with red-beans, in order to expel ghosts.

Sohan (Jan. 6th): Literally, Sohan means ‘little cold’ but this is the coldest season of the winter.

Daehan (Jan. 20th): This means ‘large cold’. The ancestors thought that this was the end of the winter – the final season of the year.
