1969 -- Daegu sehrinde Samsung Elektrik Endüstrisi (Simdiki Samsung Elektronik Sirketi) kuruldu ve TV, hesap makinesi, buzdolabi, klima ve bulasik makinesi gibi elektronik araçlar imal etmeye basladi. Samsung Elektronik neticede Güney Kore'nin en büyük ve dünyanin lider bilgisayar bellek yonga imalatçisi oldu.

1903 -- 100'den fazla kisiden olusan bir grup Koreli, Kore'nin ABD'ye ilk göçünü yaparken S.S.Gaelic üzerinden Pasifik Okyanusu boyunca seyahat ettikten sonra Hawaii, Honolulu'ya ayak basar.

2000 -- Park Tae-joon Güney Kore'nin 32. Basbakan'i olarak ofisine yerlesir.

Samsung Electronics eventually became South Korea's largest company and the world's leading computer memory chipmaker.


1903 -- A group of more than 100 Koreans lands in Honolulu, Hawaii after traveling across the Pacific Ocean on the S.S.Gaelic, marking the first wave of Korean emigration to the United States.

2000 -- Park Tae-joon takes office as South Korea's 32nd prime minister.
