Icheon Kore’nin en iyi pirinçlerini üretmekle ünlüdür. Aslinda Icheon pirinci o kadar iyidir ki bir zamanlar kore kralina servis edilirdi ve bugün hala yüksek kalitede oldugu düsünülür.
Icheon Pirinci Kültür Festivali ünlü pirinci ve yerel üretim uygulamalarini kutlamak için yapilir. Festival temelde krala sunmak için Hanseong’a (Seoul’un eski adi)pirinç tasinmasi gösterisini yeniden sahnelenmesini ve binlerce insani doyurabilecek dev pirinç kazanlarini içerir.

Ulasim:

Seoul Express Otobüs Terminalinden Icheon’a giden otobüse binin (6:30 am – 10:00 pm, her 30-40 dakikada bir kalkar / seyahat süresi yaklasik olarak 1 saattir) ya da Dong Seoul Ototbüs Terminali (6:10am ~ 11:00pm, her 15~40 dakikada bir kalkar / seyahat süresi yaklasik olarak 1 saattir).
Icheon terminalinden Seolbong Park’taki festival alanina ücretsiz gidip gelen otobüse binin ( otobüs 08:30 ‘da 20:15’e çalisir / haftaiçi her 15 dakikada bir, haftasonlari da her 10 dakikada bir kalkar).

Introduction

Icheon is famous for producing the best rice in Korea. In fact Icheon rice is so good that it used to be served to the king of Korea, and is still highly thought of today.
The Icheon Rice Culture Festival celebrates its famous rice and also the local agricultural practices.
Major events of the festival include a reenactment of the parade that transported rice to Hanseong (the old name for Seoul) for presentation to the king, and the huge rice cauldron that is capable of feeding thousands of people.

Transportation

Take a bus for Icheon from Seoul Express Bus Terminal (6:30am ~ 10:00pm, departs every 30~40min/ est. travel time 1hr) or Dong Seoul Bus Terminal (6:10am ~ 11:00pm, departs every 15~40min/ est. travel time 1hr).
From Icheon Terminal, take a free shuttle bus to the venue and get off at Seolbong Park (bus operates from 08:30 to 20:15 / bus runs every 15 minutes on weekdays, and every 10 minutes on weekends).
