Homigot Kore Yarimadasinin dogusunda bulunur ve Kore yarimadasinin cografi özellikleri bakimindan bir kaplanin kuyruguna benzetilir.Kim Jeong-ho, arastirdi ve Daedongyojido (Büyük Kore Haritasi) için yedi kez ölçüm yapti ve bu Homigot'un Kore'nin dogu noktasinda oldugunu dogruladi.Buna ek olarak, 16. yüzyilda Kral Myeongjong döneminde yasamis topografya tabanli kehanet teorisyeni Nam Sa-go, burayi Kore topografya haritasinda bir kaplanin kuyruguna karsilik olarak tarif etti ve Kore yarimadasindaki en uygun izlenimi yapan Choi Nam-seon, Baekdusan'i, Kore yarim adasinda, bacaklari ile Denizcilik Il Sibirya'ya tirmalamaya çalisan bir kaplanmis gibi nitelendirdi.Homigot güzel gündogumu manzarasi ile Kore'deki ilk on manzaranin içinde seçilmistir.
Bir kaplan, kuyrugunun kuvveti ile kosar ve gruplara komut verir.Böylece bu kaplan kuyrugu, hem milli servetin ve refahin hem de Ulusal servet ve Ulusal refahin simgesidir.
Kore Astronomi & Uzay Veri Bilimleri Enstitüsüne göre Homigot'taki günesin dogus saati 07:32'dir. ( 1 Ocak, 1999) Bu alanda, günes Kore Yarimadasi'nda erkenden yükselir.Dogal bir milenyum zamani olarak, 31 Aralik 1999 ve 1 Ocak 2000 tarihleri arasinda Homigot Milli Sunrise Festivali yapildi.

Introduction

Homigot is located in the easternmost areaof the Korean Peninsula, and corresponds to the tail of a tiger in the geographical features of the Korean Peninsula. Kim Jeong-ho explored and measured this place seven times to make Daedongyojido (The Great Map of Korea), and confirmed that Homigot is the easternmost point in Korea. In addition, Nam Sa-go, who was a theorist of topography-based divination during the reign of King Myeongjong in the 16th century, described this place as corresponding to the tail of a tiger in the topography of Korea and was the most propitious view Choi Nam-seon described the look of the Korean Peninsula as a tiger on Baekdusan scratching the Maritime Province of Siberia with its legs. He selected Homigot, with the beautiful sunrise scenery, as one of the top ten views in Korea.

As a national millennium event, the Homigot National Sunrise Festival was held from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000 in this area.
