Gwangjin-gu, Konkuk Üniversitesi ve Sejong Üniversitesine, ayrıca Daewon Yabancı Dil Lisesine de ev sahipliği yapmaktadır.
Konkuk Üniversitesinin çevresi popüler gece hayatı yeridir, Sinchon ve Hongdae'de çoğunlukla gençliğe hitap eden onlarca mekan vardır: restoranlar, barlar, DVD odaları ve yüzme havuzları vs...
Ayrıca gelişmekte olan bir alışveriş bölgesidir. Yeni tasarlanan birçok butik ile birlikte Rodeo Caddesi, Star City Alışveriş Merkezi, E-Mart, Lotte Sinema, Burger King, Krispy Kreme, büyük bir video oyun merkezi ve birçok çeşitli restoran ve mağazalar bulunuyor.
Sejong Üniversitesi Grand Çocuk Parkı'nın karşısındadır. Parkta, çok sayıda çeşme, yürüyüş parkurları, bir hayvanat bahçesi ve bir eğlence parkı bulunuyor.
Gwangjin Bölgesinin merkezinde, Gangbyeon metro istasyonu vardır. Bu istasyonun solunda, Doğu-Seoul Otobüs Terminali bulunmaktadır.
Bu Terminal'de, birçok il ve ilçe için çalışan otobüsler kalkmaktadır. - Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon ve daha fazlası dahil olmak üzere. -

Gwangjin-gu is one of the 25 wards (gu) of Seoul, South Korea. It is located on the north side of the Han River.
Gwangjin-gu is home to Konkuk University and Sejong University. It is also home to Daewon Foreign Language High School.
The Konkuk University area is a popular nightlife destination featuring dozens of restaurants, bars, DVD rooms, and pool houses catering to a mostly younger crowd, much like the areas of Sinchon and Hongdae.
The area is also a burgeoning shopping district with several boutiques cropping up within the newly designated Rodeo Street and the opening of the Star City mall, which features an E-Mart, a Lotte Cinema, a Burger King, a Krispy Kreme, a large video game arcade and numerous other restaurants and specialty shops.
Across from Sejong University is Children's Grand Park. The park features many fountains and walking trails, a zoo, and an amusement park.
In the centre of Gwangjin-gu, There is Gangbyeon underground station. At the left of this station, There is East-Seoul Bus Terminal.
In this Terminal, lots of buses running to many cities and counties - including Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, and more - depart
To the right of this station, there is a huge building selling all kinds of useful electronics called Techno Mart.
Many kinds of computers, printers, mobile phones, cameras, MP3 players, and even refrigerators are sold in this building which is like Akihabara in Tokyo.
Located in the northeastern section of Gwangjin-gu is the W Seoul Walkerhill, one of Seoul's premiere five-star hotels. The hotel features one of only three casinos in Seoul.
