1234' de Gangwagoryeogung yerine saray ve hükümet konağı inşa edilmiş, sonra Kral Gojong Moğol Saldırısında Gangwa'ya karşı başkente taşındı.
Ana saray dışında , Haenggung, Igung ve Gagwol gibi çeşitli saraylar vardı.
Ön kapı Seungpyeongmundu. Sancheungnu kapıları sarayın her tarafındaydı.
Doğu da Gwanghamun kapısı dikildi.
1270'de Gangwa sözleşmesinde başkentten taşınıp,yıkılana kadar 39 yıl görev yapmıştır.
Joseon Hanedanlığı'nda savaş boyunca Ganghwado adası kaçış yeri olararak kullanılmaya devam etmiştir.
Haenggung, Kral Injo'nun 9'uncu yılında Goryeo'daki saray yerinde yeniden inşa ettirmekteydi. Ama 1866'da Fransız Saldırısında Quing tarafından tahrip edildi.
O zamandan beri Gangwa tarafından yerel vali binaları yeniden inşa ettirilmekteydi. Ama Fransız Saldırısında tekrar yakıldı.
Şimdi geriye Donheon ve Ibangcheong kaldı.
Bu tarihi yer yabancı saldırganlığına karşı bağımsızlık ruhunu ve büyük krizden milletini bizim yeteneğimizle kurtarmasını göstermekteydi.

The Ganghwagoryeogung site consisted of the palace and government office built in 1234, after the capital was moved to Ganghwa against the Mongol Aggression in the 19th year of King Gojong (1232).
Except for the main palace, there were various palaces like Haenggung, Igung and Gagwol.
The front gate was Seungpyeongmun Gate, where the gates of Samcheungnu were palaces in each side.
The Gwanghwamun gate was erected in the east.
It had served for 39 years until it demolished by moving the capital by the Ganghwa contract in 1270.
Ganghwado Island used to be the escaping place during the war in the Joseon Dynasty.
Haenggung was rebuilt in the Goryeo palace site in the 9th year of King Injo, but the Qing in the French Aggression in 1866 destroyed it.
Since then, the buildings for the local governor of Ganghwa was reconstructed, but it was burnt down again in the French Aggression.
Now Dongheon and Ibangcheong still remained.
This was the historical site that showed the independence spirit against foreign Aggression and our ability to save nation from the great crisis.
