Chunchon temiz ve mavi gölleriyle iyi bilinen bir şehirdir. Gongjichon, Chunchon'a gölleri görmeye geldiğinizde kaçırmamanız gereken bir yer. Seoul'e olan yakınlığı sayesinde çoğu turist Chunchon'u severek ziyaret ediyor. Bu gölün çevresinde bir heykel parkı, fıskiye, kayık kiralama dükkanı, nehir kenarı dağlık bölge, açık hava tiyatrosu, savaş anıtı, çocuk merkezi ve Kore sivil savaşında Etiyopyalı katılımcıların hatıra anıtı yer almaktadır. Hatıratın yakınında uzun süredir ayakta olan Etiyopya Cafe bulunmaktadır ve her zaman ziyaretçilerin hafızalarında silinmez bir iz bırakmaktadır. Gongjichon'da bir sürü kullanılabilir kayık bulunmaktadır. Kış hariç, ziyaretçiler gölün çevresinde, Jungdo'nun izin verilen kır manzarasında ve Uiamho kıyılarında bot gezintisi yapabilirler. Her yıl ağustos başlarında, MBC Nehir Kıyısı Şarkı Yarışması (Lise öğrencilerinin her yıl yapılan festivali.) Gongjinchon'da açık hava tiyatrosunda yapılır. Birçok genç yazın gölde kamp yapmak ve bu yarışmayı izlemek için gölü ziyaret eder.
Chunchon şehir kütüphanesi solda, Seoul'den Jongjichon Köprüsüne giden yol üzerinde 500m. soldadır. Kütüphanenin ön ve arka avlularında, kendini Kore'nin Japon hakimiyetinden kurtuluşuna adamış ve Chosun Hanedanlığı gönüllü sivil askerlerini yöneten In-seok You (Uiam lakaplı, Chunchon Şehri, Gajeong-ri, Nam-myon'da mezarı bulunuyor.) ve Japon askerlerine karşı gönüllü bayan askerlerin yönlendirilmesinde öncü olan Hee-soon Yoon'un heykelleri bulunmaktadır. Bu iki heykel gönüllü sivil askerlerin liderlerinin ve Chunchon sivil askerlerinin hatıraları için birer semboldür. Bu kütüphane Chunchon'daki tarihi semboller hakkında bilgi edinmek için önerilen bir yerdir.

Seoul'den 46 nolu ana caddeye çıkın. Gongjichoni, Cheongpyoung, Gapyoung ve Gangchon'den sonra Chunchon'a gitmeden sağ taraftadır. Chunchon ekspres otobüs terminalinden Seoul yönünde 5 dakikalık bir yürüş mesafesindedir. Gongjinchoni Seoul'den Chunchon'a (eski yoldan) girişte yer almaktadır.

Chunchon is better known as a city of clean, blue lakes.
Gongjichon is the place you cannot miss when you come to Chunchon to see its lakes. Thanks to its short distance from Seoul, it is constantly loved by many tourists visiting Chunchon. Around this lake are a sculpture park, a fountain, a boat-rental shop, the riverside highlands, an outdoor theater, a war memorial, a children's center and a monument in memory of Ethiopia's participation in the Korean Civil War. Near the memorial is the Ethiopia Cafe' which has stood there for a very long time and always leaves an indelible impression upon the minds of visitors. Many boats are available in Gonjichon. Except for winter, visitors can enjoy boating around the lakes, appreciating the landscape of Jungdo and the shores of Uiamho. Early in August every year, the MBC Riverside Song Contest (college students' annual festival) is held in the outdoor theater by Gongjichon. Many young people visit this lake in the summer for camping and watching the song contest.
The Chunchon library is at the left, 500m on the way to Seoul from the Jongjichon Bridge. In the front and back yards of this library stand statues of In-seok You (nicknamed Uiam, entombed at Gajeong-ri, Nam-myon, Chunchon), who devoted himself to the independence of Korea from Japanese rule and led the volunteer civilian soldiers at the end of the Chosun Dynasty, and Hee-soon Yoon, who was a pioneer in leading the volunteer female soldiers against Japanese troops. These two statues are symbolic monuments in memory of the leaders of the volunteer civilian soldiers and Chunchon civilian soldiers. The library is recommended as a place to visit for learning about historic figures in Chunchon.

Private car
Take No. 46 Highway from Seoul. Gongjichon is on the right side after Cheongpyoung, Gapyoung and Gangchon but before Chunchon. From the Chunchon express bus terminal, it is a 5-minute walk in the direction of Seoul. Gongjichon is at the entrance to Chunchon (old road) from Seoul.
