Eumseong İlçe'si BM Genel Sekreteri Ban Ki-moon'un doğum yeri olduğu için Güney Kore, Kuzey Chungcheong Eyaleti'nin iyi bilinen bir ilçesidir.

Eumseong'da yaşayan birçok çiftçi ve insan vardır. İlkbahar ve sonbaharda iki tane kültür festivaline ev sahipliği yaparlar: İlkbaharda Pumba Festivali (품바축제) ve sonbaharda Gochu Festivali (고추축제). Kore'de kaliteli kırmızı acı biber üretimi için Eumseong ünlüdür. Eumseong'da kırmızıbiber üretimi bir kenara ayrıca çilek, ginseng, karpuz ve sığır eti üretimi ile de ünlüdür.

Eumseong County (Eumseong-gun) is a county in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, best known for being the birthplace of UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.

There are many farmers and people living in Eumseong. They host two cultural festivals in the spring and fall: the Pumba Festival (품바축제) in the spring and the Gochu Festival (고추축제) in the fall. Eumseong is famous in Korea for its production of quality red chili peppers.
Aside from chili peppers, Eumseongites are also renowned for their strawberries, ginseng, watermelon, and beef production.
