Daebu Island (대부도 / Daebu-do)

Daebu adası, Gyeonggi Eyaleti'nde Ansan sınırları içinde bulunan Sarı Deniz'de bir adadır. Yaklaşık 6.200 nüfusa ve 40.3 km² lik bir alana sahiptir. Üstün sanayi faaliyetleri ile birlikte balıkçılık ve turizm açısından önemli bir adadır. Joseon hanedanlığı sırasında Daebu adası Namyang İlçesi'ne bağlandı. 1914'ten sonra Bucheon'a, 1973'te de Ongjin İlçesi'ne transfer edildi.
1994'te ada, Ansan sınırlarına dahil oldu. Bugün ise ada Gyeonggi Eyaleti'nde Ansan İngiliz köyündedir.

Daebu Island is an island in the Yellow Sea, within the municipal borders of Ansan city, Gyeonggi province. It has a population of roughly 6,200 people and an area of 40.3 km². The predominant industries are tourism and fishing. The island is connected by road to the mainland on the north, with another bridge under construction at the south end.
During the Joseon Dynasty and up to 1914, Daebu Island was included in the old jurisdiction of Namyang County. In 1914 it was transferred to Bucheon, and in 1973 to Ongjin County (which later became part of Incheon metropolitan city). In 1994 the island was moved into the jurisdiction of Ansan.
Today the island is home to the Ansan English village, an immersion village for students from Gyeonggi province.
