Bonghwangdae, eski Silla kabirlerindendir. Bu mezar adini bir efsaneden aldigi ve bir alan adi oldugu için digerlerinden farkli olarak kabul edilir. 'Bonghwang' adi Wang-Geon'un efsanesinden türedi. Bir geomancer (9. Yüzyilda toprak fali bakan Koreli budistler)'in kendisine Silla arazisinin sekli hakkinda söyledikleriyle olusmustur efsane.
Mezarlarin çapi 82 metre, yüksekligi 22 metredir. Bir kralin kabri oldugu kabul edilir. Ama kazilmadigi için gerçekte kimin kabri oldugu bilinmiyor.

Bonghwangdae is an ancient tomb of Silla in ancient tombs of Nodong-dong. Bonghwangdae is different from other tombs in the fact that it is not named after the area it was found in or any relics excavated from the tomb, and the words of 'Neung' or 'Chong' which signifies 'tomb' doesn't follow its name. The name of 'Bonghwang' derived from a legend concerning Wang Geon.
The diameter of the the tomb is 82 meters and the height 22 meters, which resembles a hill more than a tomb due to its humongous size.
