KÖKEN
Eski zamanlarda, Shinri-Myeon bir bölge oldu. Gangneung ve Jangdegi adı verildi. Jangdeogi ve Jangdeokdong köy için uzun bir tepe üzerindeydi. Sonra 1916'in idareyle ilgili yeniden düzenlemesi, Norumegi, Seonangdengi, Sangeunne, Wondengi ve Jaegung'u birleştirdi ve onu Jangdeok ri olarak çağırdı.

Boksaggot village
Boksaggot Village, located about 4km away from Jumunjin, is a typical country village with 104 farming households. It is an agricultural village that is close to the sea. It is Yeongdong's best fruit-growing village where you can enjoy all fruits of all seasons with the salty smell of the sea harmonizing with sweet smell of fruits.

Origin
In old times, it was a territory of Shinri-myeon, Gangneung and was called Jangdegi, Jangdeogi and Jangdeokdong for the village was on a long hill. Then the administrative rearrangement of 1916 combined Norumegi, Seonangdengi, Sangeunne, Wondengi and Jaegung and called it Jangdeok-ri.
