Ilk olarak SM Entertainment’te stajyerdi. Daha sonra DSP Entertainment’e katildi ve SS501 üyesi olarak 8 Haziran 2005’te ilk çikisini yapti.
2006 yilinda Park Jung Min ile birlikte Mayis'tan Agustos'a kadar (SBS)Youngstreet Radyosu'nda DJ'lik yapti. Ses tellerindeki rahatsizliktan dolayi devam edemedi.
Park Jung Min ve Kim Hyun Joong'un solo çalismalari dolayisiyla SS501 albüm Temmuz 2009'a ertelendi. Bu nedenle, diger üç üye Heo Young Saeng liderliginde bir alt birim olusturmus ve 2008 yili Kasim ayinda UR Man adli mini albümünü yayinlamislardir.
Solo sarkisi "사랑 인거죠"("Is it love? ") UR Man albümü zamaninda piyasaya çikti. Sarkiyi kendi yazmis ve düzenlemistir. SS501 üyeleri arasinda bu sekilde çalisma yapan tek kisidir. Bu sarkiyi 2007 yilinda SS501 Japonya faaliyetleri sirasinda yazmistir.

First he trainee under SM Entertainment. he later joined DSP Entertainment and debut as a member of SS501 on 8 June 2005.
He hosted (SBS)Youngstreet Radio together with Park Jung Min from 1 May to Aug 2006. Then he had to cancel this activity due to throat condition.
With both Park Jung Min (Danny Park on the musical Grease) and Kim Hyun Joong on solo activities, the next SS501 album was pushed back to July 2009. As such, the other three members formed a subunit with Heo Young Saeng as the leader and released a project album named U R Man in November 2008.
In time of their Sub Unit activities his solo song “사랑인거죠“ (“Is it love?“) was released on the U R Man album. It’s the first song he wrote and composed himself, and with this he is the first member in SS501 doing that. The song was already written in 2007 when SS501 had their activities in Japan.
